"In the Studio with..." Series

I made ‘In the Studio with Lucy’ in the immediate aftermath of my sweet Lucy’s death. She was my tiny stitching/life companion, and died unexpectedly during the summer of 2019. Her death was the worst, most heartbreaking experience of my life. The slow, meditative process of stitching has always helped me cope with anxiety and depression, as well as serving as my main creative outlet. Stitching this was so painful but incredibly necessary for me to move forward. I love that in the literal darkest hours of my life thus far, I created beauty. For her.
